There’s a spring in our step right now, and not just because a new, warmer season is around the corner. We’ve been mentioned in not one, but two major publications – Daily Mirror and Daily Express!
The articles focus on what supplements a group of health professionals personally opt to take. Our ‘For every day EXTRA Strength’ is mentioned by Dr Sohère Roked, a GP and hormone specialist, as her good bacteria supplement of choice.
Dr Roked has worked in hospitals across England and Wales, in areas including A&E, women’s health and three years in psychiatry. She believes that health is holistic and seeks to combine a myriad of techniques to provide the best recommendations.
Her current daily health ritual also includes vitamin D3, a curcumin tablet, a collagen supplement, and rainbow trout oil, as well as some Chuckling Goat kefir (fermented milk drink) each morning. She comments that she "[doesn’t] always take the same supplements", and so works with what she needs at any time; for example, the vitamin D3 is being taken in conjunction with an SPF moisturiser she is using which slows down ageing, resulting in lower levels of vitamin D.
With one in three Brits now taking a daily supplement in an industry worth an estimated £442 million, it’s really helpful to cut through the confusion and take inspiration from the products that healthcare professionals themselves are using. We’re feeling decidedly sunny thanks to Dr Roked and we’re so grateful for this fabulous mention!
