The ‘OptiBac’ family stands united as ever and we continue to do our best to ensure that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic does not have a negative impact on the services we provide to our customers.
We just wanted to update you on some of the steps we're taking at this time since our last blog. Our flexible working practices mean that many of our teammembers are used to working remotely, but we're providing additional support and equipment to those who, as a result of the pandemic, have found themselves new to the home working environment, in addition to juggling extra care responsibilities and home schooling.
We have put extra measures in place to ensure that our colleagues are safe. With only 12% of our team currently working from our Headquarters, and some in their own rooms, there’s plenty of space for social distancing. Despite this, we are proud to be dispatching and delivering as normal, and maintaining the high level of service that our customers expect!
We are providing support to colleagues to ensure their safety and wellbeing at this difficult time, and are focusing on those who may be more vulnerable or caring for others at this time.
We also continue with our passion to educate on health through our active social media channels. We are promoting the importance of immunity through a balanced diet & exercise, and have lots of gut health information and tips on our sister site: www.probioticslearninglab.co.uk
Until further notice we have of course suspended all face-to-face training events, trade shows, conferences and meetings. However, it’s important to us that the OptiBac family maintains contact. So, every day we hold a lunchtime videocall where the whole team comes together to discuss company-wide updates. Themed fancy dress Fridays have become the highlight of the week! In fact after publishing this blog I'll be digging out the most colourful clothes & accessories I can find for today's meeting - our nutritional therapist & sales rep Kathy has chosen 'bright, colourful & sparkly' and I highly approve!
Detailed risk assessments have been completed, and we will continue to monitor, update and revise this guidance as the situation and government advice develops. Our commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and to meet the duty of care to our employees remains as important as ever.
