Wren Laboratories is a successful, family-run business based near Andover, Hampshire. It produces a range of health supplements called ‘Optibac Probiotics’. The company is committed to producing high quality products, providing excellent customer service, and achieving a vibrant & inspiring workplace. The products are sold in the UK, Ireland and many export markets via multiple different sales channels including pharmacies, health food stores, grocery, direct to consumer website, online retailers, and marketplaces.

The Digital team has expanded rapidly over the last 3 years and are looking to accelerate growth further across all channels. The D2C (website & marketplaces) percentage of company sales is expected to achieve ambitious, but eminently achievable, growth figures and contribute a growing proportion of turnover.

Team Purpose

The overall aim of the Digital Team is to promote the Optibac Probiotics brand across the UK, USA and wider export markets and to drive sales through the digital channels.

Wider Team   

The Digital Team sits within Marketing & Communications and are responsible for promoting the brand and products through digital channels to reach new and existing consumers to grow sales, both home and abroad. The team plays a key role in driving and supporting the company’s priorities and objectives. The primary focus of the Digital Team is to develop the acquisitions channels to drive sales and acquire new consumers either directly through marketplaces, our website or through our customer services teams.

Main Purpose And Scope Of The Job

The Marketplace Specialist is a highly organised professional with great attention to detail, they will have a strong commercial focus as well as a keen interest in all things digital and a willingness to develop their skillset to progress within the team.

The main purpose of this job role is to manage the marketing and operations of Amazon, promoting and protecting the brand and accelerating sales growth via organic and paid sales channels. The role will also support with the expansion into other profitable marketplace channels.

Duties And Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Executive to support the implementation of overall digital strategy with a focus on marketplaces, aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets and company objectives
  • Maintain FBA availability by working closely with Supply Chain to ensure Amazon shipments and stock are prioritised within the company
  • Maintain BB% within set KPIs by monitoring competitive prices and adjusting selling price where profitable, and working with the Digital Marketing Executive & UK Sales Team to manage Pure Player activity
  • Liaise with the Finance Team to ensure financial reports and invoices are provided in a timely manner and ensure all relevant purchase orders are raised. As well as maintaining budget and overhead trackers
  •  Working alongside the Digital Marketing Executive to manage the Amazon Agency, a focus on the profitable expansion of the channel in line with company growth targets
  • Work collaboratively with the Amazon agency to drive growth and reach new consumers through AMS and DSP advertising, always testing and working to improve conversion
  • Oversee Amazon deals and promotional activity and align to both Amazon and company marketing activity, driving incremental revenue whilst maintaining profitability
  • Manage the growth and expansion plans for and Amazon EU
  • Work alongside Ecommerce Executive to prospect and manage expansion into new profitable Marketplaces

  • Contribute to the overall smooth running of the Digital Team and Marketing department

Qualifications & Experience

  • A qualification in marketing or a relevant related subject would be advantageous
  • Experience working with Amazon and/or other Marketplaces
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English at business level
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and develop through self-learning, education, or online courses within digital
  • An understanding of marketing, digital marketing, or digital media

Job Location

Head Office or flexible working with occasional requirement to attend meetings and events at HQ in Andover, Hampshire.
