International Account Manager Asia - Export

Distinguished and respected leaders in our home market, as well as recent winners of the renowned Queen’s Award for Enterprise for impressive international growth, the UK based Export team is charged with delivering long term, sustainable growth by expanding into new markets as well as leading our existing international distributors.

We are looking for an ambitious International Account Manager with experience in Asia to get behind our mission to help people feel their best and bring one of the most exciting areas of modern science to the mainstream across the globe.

Whilst this is predominantly a classical International Account Management role working with distributors, the role will also give the opportunity to work with KOLs, KOCs, and Daigou’s across multiple platforms such as WeChat, TikTok, Tmall, Taobao etc.   Working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager and with the support of an experienced marketing team, this role will have responsibility for commercial strategy, joint business planning and execution in China and North Asia.

Reports to: Senior Commercial Manager – Export

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver short term sales and profit targets, and long-term sustainable growth
  • Be the main point of contact for existing distributors, partners, Daigou’s, KOL’s and KOC’s, both as business leader and brand ambassador
  • Commercial accountability; includes all aspects of administration, budgeting, planning, forecasting, sales and profitability
  • Agree annual business plans, including sales, distribution & support objectives
  • Align your plans across multiple regional partners
  • Hold regular review meetings to ensure the annual plans are on track and update / adjust as required to ensure key targets are met
  • Manage, develop and grow product range distributed through regular range reviews, sell through analysis and market knowledge
  • Share best practices to help develop both retail & online sales, including marketing materials & POS, product training programme and social media activity
  • Carry out market visits as agreed with Distributor & Senior commercial manager
  • Understand and share key regional trends
  • Help manage the process from first contact through to distribution agreement & product registration, ensuring up to date records of contact & development are maintained
  • Liaise with Export Administrator to log & follow up on new distribution enquiries

Essential Skills

  • International experience and outlook are essential.  We need someone with solid cultural empathy and adaptability to different ways of doing business
  • 3+ years of distributor account management experience
  • Demonstrable record of profitable sales and business development
  • Strong Commercial Acumen. Comfortable with numbers and performance tracking so you can analyse effectiveness across all activities
  • The power to be understood, great spoken and written communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office capability
  • A persuasive collaborator who can manage internal and external stakeholders and confidently prioritise
  • Someone happy to crack on with the ‘doing’ and quickly power through activation tasks as well as manage the bigger picture planning part of the role
  • Confident negotiation skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Experienced orchestrator of potential brand partnerships and collaborations

Desired Skills

  • Speaks Mandarin
  • Experience with Tmall Global Flagship store
  • Experience with Chinese social media platforms such as TikTok, Little Red Book, WeChat, etc
