Reports to Ireland Sales Team Leader

Full Time Equivalent - 1 FTE

Main purpose and scope of the job

A Dublin & Leinster area sales and training representative is responsible for a defined territory where they will support existing retailers with sales visits, training sessions and in-store demonstrations. They will also be responsible for prospecting any potential new accounts in the area towards growing the business within their specific territory.

Duties and key responsibilities

  • Manage all designated retailer stockists on territory with an effective journey plan to ensure territory coverage is maximised
  • Visit existing and potential new retail stockists
  • Support staff training instore and remotely, using marketing assets where appropriate, in order to secure confident recommendation of Optibac
  • Support accounts by visiting to ensure our stockists have the correct distribution, shelves are representing our brand image well, to offer promotions and to oversee merchandising in order to maximise sales
  • Create new Opportunities via strong analysis of territory with our stockists to ensure we achieve secondary siting and new listings
  • Open new accounts, build key relationships across various levels and generate sales in both independent and regional accounts
  • Visit HCPs either in person or online, provide training to ensure recommendation
  • Work closely & collaboratively with our major distributors, partners, and their sales team
  • Efficiently manage own administration, a CRM system, and notes
  • Participate in trade and consumer shows
  • Regularly liaise with the Ireland Sales Team Leader and other internal stakeholders
  • Plan, together with the Ireland Sales Team Leader, and organise consumer and trade show
  • Participate, contribute and share best practice within team meetings
  • Manage free stock, marketing assets and any trade spend appropriately to drive the strongest commercial outcomes
  • Travel occasionally to the head office in Hampshire

Requirements

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma or relevant Degree in nutrition / nutritional therapy / naturopathy / complementary health
  • Applicants must live in Dublin
  • A full Irish /EU driving license and access to a reliable car for permitted business / employment use required
  • Commercial acumen

Experience

  • Track record of sales success is essential (territory management preferred)
  • Experience of working in the natural products or Healthcare industry advantageous 
  • Experience of detailing to and training HCP’s is also advantageous

Hours & Salary

  • Full time (40hr/week), permanent position, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
  • Competitive salary plus travel expenses covered
