I began using Optibac Bifido & Fibre a couple months ago. The results have been unlike anything I have used in the past. I have struggled with sluggish bowels for over a decade. Increasing my fiber intake just usually results in more pain and harder stools, despite consuming nearly a gallon of fluid per day. Since taking Optibac Bifido & Fibre, I am experiencing a more definite urge to go to the toilet, better stool consistency, and more complete evacuation. At the beginning, I also experienced some gas, but I took this as a good sign that real work was being done in my intestines. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has struggled with chronic constipation that does not respond to the usual "fiber and fluids" recommendation.
I’ve struggled with IBS-C for years. I’ve reword everything, diet changes, over the counter & prescription laxatives, EVERYTHING. Nothing helped. I finally decided to try a probiotic. I put it off bc i hate taking pills but i found this powder one from optibac and was so excited. I mix it with apple juice and take it everyday. It’s been 2 months and now i FINALLY have a bowel movement EVERY DAY! How to use
Recommended use
Dietary supplement suitable for adults and children (from 1 year onwards) with the following recommendations:
- Initial use: Take 1 sachet (and up to 4 sachets if required) daily with food.
- Ongoing use: 1 sachet will often suffice but more can be taken as desired or as professionally directed.
- It is strongly recommended to drink plenty of water with this supplement.
- Shake the sachet, then slowly sprinkle contents into a glass of water and vigorously swirl to dissolve fully.
- Do not use a spoon to stir as this may cause the sachet contents to clump.
- Do not exceed recommended daily dosage.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C (77 °F) and out of direct sunlight.
Safety
^Probiotics are not recommended for those with serious medical conditions e.g. those who are severely immunosuppressed, have pancreatitis, are in the ICU, have melaena, have a central venous catheter, infants with short bowel syndrome, or patients with open wounds following major surgery; unless under a doctor's care. Optibac Probiotics Bifido & Fibre can be taken with or without food for occasional constipation or ongoing daily basis. Daily intake can vary for each person, depending on how you respond or if you're taking fibre in other supplements for constipation. Start with one sachet a day and increase (a sachet at a time), up to a maximum of 4 sachets daily, spread over the day.
Probiotic supplements are generally considered very safe to take on a daily basis; in fact research1,2,3 recommends daily use to support and maintain the gut microbiome. Probiotics are natural supplements and not a medication. They carry no risk of dependency and do not cause the bowel to become ‘lazy’.
