COVID-19: We’re committed to keeping our customers and team safe

Soraya Janmohamed Co-founder & Marketing Director

The ‘OptiBac’ family stands united as ever and we continue to do our best to ensure that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic does not have a negative impact on the services we provide to our customers.

Supporting our team

Our support services are designed and managed in such a way that they are easily and securely operated by colleagues working from home. Our flexible working practices mean that many of our colleagues are used to working remotely. However, we are providing additional support and equipment to those colleagues who, as a result of the pandemic, have found themselves new to the home working environment, in addition to juggling extra care responsibilities and home schooling.

We have put measures in place to ensure that our colleagues are safe. With only 12% of our team currently working from our Headquarters, there’s lots of space for social distancing. Despite this, we are proud to be dispatching and delivering as normal, and maintaining the high level of service that our customers expect and deserve.

Our passion for health and well-being continues

We are providing support to colleagues to ensure their safety and wellbeing at this difficult time, and are focusing on those who may be more vulnerable or caring for others at this time.

We also continue with our passion to educate on health through our active social media channels. We are promoting the importance of immunity through a balanced diet, exercise, and daily food supplements.

Events and face-to-face meetings

Until further notice we have suspended all face-to-face training events, trade shows, conferences and meetings. However, it’s important to us that the Optibac family maintains contact. So, every day we hold a lunchtime videocall where the whole team comes together to discuss company-wide updates. Themed fancy dress Fridays have become the highlight of the week!
