At Optibac, our Nutrition Team is here to make your friendly bacteria experience truly personal.

Three qualified Nutritional Therapists - each with years of specialist training and a genuine passion for gut health - are here to make your friendly bacteria journey as simple and personal as possible.

Each member of the team has worked hard to build deep expertise in nutrition and gut health, and continues to invest in professional development to stay at the forefront of their field. Get to know all about them below.

Louise Mason

Nutrition Team Leader - BA(Hons), DipCNM Nutritional Therapist, DipCNM Naturopath

A dual-qualified Nutritional Therapist and Naturopath, Louise leads the Optibac Nutrition Team with a well-rounded, holistic approach that draws on both modern nutritional science and traditional healing practices. She has been with Optibac since 2021 and is one of the team's most experienced friendly bacteria experts.

Louise trained at CNM London, qualifying in both Nutritional Therapy and Naturopathy - the latter encompassing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and herbalism. This breadth of training allows her to look beyond single-symptom solutions and offer genuinely integrative support to the people she works with.

Her areas of specialism include family nutrition and fertility - helping parents make confident, informed choices for their children, and supporting those navigating the complex landscape of preconception health. She has shared her expertise as a featured contributor to Salisbury Life magazine, offering healthcare insights to a wider audience.

Outside of work, Louise is mum to a son who keeps her grounded, curious, and laughing - a daily reminder of why she's so passionate about building healthy foundations from the very start of life.

If you're not sure where to start, Louise will know.

Charlotte

Nutrition Advisor - DipCNM Nutritional Therapist

Charlotte brings an unusually rich perspective to her role on the Optibac Nutrition Team: before retraining as a Nutritional Therapist at CNM Bristol, she worked as a professional chef. That background gave her an instinctive understanding of food as medicine, and a belief that nourishment should be both effective and genuinely enjoyable.

A firm believer that true wellbeing begins in the gut, Charlotte has since built her expertise around digestive health, pursuing advanced further training in this area. In her private practice, she specialises in complex, chronic conditions - including IBS, eczema, and endometriosis - using advanced gut testing to build highly personalised, evidence-based nutrition plans that deliver real, lasting results for her clients.

At Optibac, she has been one of the team's go-to friendly bacteria experts since 2023, bringing clinical depth and practical clarity to everything she does.

When she's not in the clinic or at her desk, you'll likely find Charlotte somewhere outdoors - hiking or snowboarding in the mountains, ideally in Canada, with her husband, child and dog in tow.

If your gut health journey feels complicated, Charlotte can help make it easier.

Hannah

Nutrition Advisor - DipION Nutritional Therapist

Hannah is a qualified Nutritional Therapist and friendly bacteria specialist, trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London. Since joining the Optibac Nutrition Team in 2023, she has become a trusted voice for those navigating complex digestive and reproductive health concerns.

Her post-graduate training spans fertility, pregnancy, and children's health - making her a go-to source of support for women and families at every stage. She is particularly specialist in complex gut conditions including IBS, SIBO, and IBD, bringing both clinical knowledge and lived experience to this work: Hannah manages IBD herself, and that personal understanding shapes the empathy and precision she brings to every client interaction.

Hannah's expertise has earned her a strong media profile, with insights featured across a wide range of national outlets including The Guardian, The Stylist, SheerLuxe, Huffington Post, and Daily Mail, among others - reflecting the trust placed in her as a credible, accessible voice in nutrition.

Outside of work, she's mum to a lively young daughter, and finds her balance through yoga and the ongoing quest to perfect the ultimate gluten-free cookie.

Whatever you're navigating, Hannah gets it.
